Presentation to the Geelong Beekeepers Club

Hello again, 🙂

Last Friday I had the privilege of presenting to the Geelong Beekeepers Club on my trip to Ireland last August. I spoke of the different beekeeping operations I visited in Dublin, Galway and Lahinch and the great beekeepers I met. The talk was well received with lots of questions. If you’re in the Geelong region on Sunday March 18th be sure to make it to their Field day which will have plenty of practical demonstrations and talks by experienced beekeepers.

On other news Surfcoast Honey would like to welcome HAH Lorne, a great casual eatery on the beach at Lorne, to the growing number of businesses supporting our brand. Next time you’re in Lorne drop in and taste their beautiful food and great coffee.

The beekeeping season is still in full flow and has another 8-10 weeks before we prepare the hives for Winter. This season we have Messmate, Sugar Gum, mixed gum and a garden variety of honey, all from our apiaries along the coast. We’ll be at the Village Fair in Anglesea on Saturday 10th March from 4pm till 8pm. It’s our first market so come along and say hello 🙂 It’s shaping up to be great event.
